TWD: A New Beginning From the End of the World

Chapter 50: Next moves

Airon looked away and saw the large convoy of cars and trucks speeding along the previously established road. The problem of the road full of cars was something that had been solved a long time ago, so a road had been prepared that led from the CDC to the main road leading to the prison.

Knowing about the future, Airon's goal was not only to occupy the prison, but to find more survivors that would increase the numbers in his community. His idea is to use the prison instead of the CDC facility as a starting point, and from that place continue to develop, expand the ranks of guards and soldiers under his command by creating more safe places for humans.

A new era of walkers everywhere came, no one could survive on their own, so growing the small S.C.T community was the most important thing in the early days of the end of the world.

He knew he couldn't focus only on one place, luck and timely encounters will make a person get valuable things these days, and the final winner will be the one who has the biggest shield.

The job of transferring the remaining people from the CDC to the prison is a very simple thing. According to reports, everyone at the CDC with the supervision of Sam Valdez has made preparations for the ongoing transfer of resources and personnel.

The most time consuming part for them was the work of clearing congested vehicles on the road. If there are clear roads, there will naturally be crowded roads with vehicles.

Mike and the group that arrived at the prison have cleared a road that is barely passable, if there are a lot of hikers that road should be avoided so the next few days will require more stable road conditions.

The large group of trucks moved quickly down the road but the progress was halted from time to time, but because the modified RV was leading the way, this also helped solve many problems. At least most of the situations on the road could be forcibly resolved.

Finally, around three o'clock in the afternoon, a group of people arrived at the CDC parking lot.

Sam Valdez and the other soldiers with whom Airon was very familiar greeted him, all the survivors began loading the previously prepared things onto the trucks. Fortunately, there were good trucks and emergency cars at the CDC.

Food, medicine and weapons are the eternal issues in the last days and the most valuable things in the future.

The transfer work was proceeding in an orderly fashion as Airon led a group of ten people out of the CDC as soon as possible. Airon dragged poor Rick to the car before he had time to greet his wife and son.

This time they were driving two Humvee all-terrain vehicles without machine guns, this type of vehicle could carry seven people with ease along the highway outside Atlanta.

Airon in the co-pilot's seat held a map with numerous crossed-out circles and uncrossed-out circles with notes next to them, which were temporary military camps that Airon had seen when the end of the world broke out.

But the current destination of the few people is not just any place on the map, but a large construction company located on the outskirts of the city. This construction company called Euisa has many branches around the country.

Of course, Airon didn't come here to talk business, he was interested in the large transport vehicles in the company's yard.

Even though there were only a few walkers on the road, they still chose to clear them, because they didn't drive a modified RV and couldn't be spending ammunition and time taking out all those walkers.

In a short time they all arrived at the destination with no problems and all saw the fence gate at a great distance, but the cars had no intention of slowing down at all and crashed into the walkers ahead.

Without stopping in the front yard, the car drove directly into the parking lot in the back. The parking lot is divided into two areas, one is for company employees and the other is for a large number of engineering vehicles.

Airon pointed to the side where the engineering vehicles were parked, and everyone got out of the vehicles. Looking at the huge monsters parked next to them, they all looked extremely excited.

They quickly found the main target this time, three large trucks of an exaggerated size! Airon and the others walked to the counted trucks and opened the door with ease. Airon did not know if it was that this was considered timely because he was followed by several important people in this world or because of the beautiful custom of this country, but he quickly found the keys in the slit of the visor.

The three trucks were quickly selected and Airon verified the fuel tanks were full, the whole process went smoothly.

Airon had prepared three people with driving experience to move the trucks and parked them in the middle of the parking lot. Due to the loud engine noise, a few walkers finally started to gather on both sides.

"Clean up the walkers, don't let them get close!" Airon said as he ran towards several cars not far away.

"Yes, sir!"

About half an hour later, more than a dozen people left the construction company in six very special trucks, they split into two groups and when they reached the road, a crane and two dump trucks left the construction company heading towards the prison, Airon himself drove two big huge trucks in the direction of Atlanta.

Several construction machines, bulldozers, dozers, loaders and a number of construction vehicles followed the big trucks. As to why Airon drove all these people with these trucks into the city?

To carry tanks and helicopters if possible. Of course, Airon saw more than one tank and one military helicopter long before the end of the world. Of course, he wasn't looking blindly, but at least he was sure there were two tanks and a helicopter.

But he also faces another long standing problem in the community and that is fuel for the tanks he has, the aviation kerosene that the helicopter needs is not available everywhere and is somewhat hard to come by, if there is no fuel it doesn't matter if he has a helicopter or not, it would just be decoration.

But Airon doesn't look at those things, there should be a way to solve the fuel problem, the important thing would be to find a military base, but this kind of thing will be done the same way, he will first focus on getting those toys and then think about other things.

After switching from car to truck, there is no need to worry about the walkers on the road. The super tall body of the trucks makes driving only feel a little shaky.

After driving down the road for about twenty minutes, Airon turned onto an intersection, which was the road he took when he first arrived in downtown Atlanta.

"We're not too far from the site! Keep your spirits high, you must not only pay attention to the walkers, but also if there are survivors in the surrounding buildings.

"Understood sir!"

Airon this time had taken half of the more experienced group, soldiers and ex-soldiers for this rescue and collection mission.

On the way the steering wheel in Airon's hand swung flexibly, and the huge body of the truck moved under his control, dodging from left to right on the road so crowded with cars.

The familiar scene of the street came into view, the mall, the street, it was the mall that was trapped at first!

Although the number of walking corpses on the road has greatly decreased, there are still hundreds of them. At this moment, they heard the roar of the car engine and everyone gathered here.

"Elimination operation, clear all those walkers and don't forget to carry silencers. Save ammunition and take accurate shots." After giving the orders, Airon climbed out of the truck from the back.

"Yes, captain!"

"I'll cover you! Airon!" Rick, the co-driver, pulled out a pistol with a silencer and yelled at Airon from the side.
