"Multi-Charge Ball!"

Sanae and I continued making our way through the Underground Catacombs with ease, as I took the vanguard role along with Sanae's summons, mowing down any enemies that came attacking us in the dungeon. Because of that, Sanae's level had also increased again as we continued to face more monsters together.

Currently, she's level 17.

She's also doing the dungeon quest that Hikari, Himeji and I have done as we moved. Collecting the stone tablets along the way.

And before we knew it, we were already at the midpoint of the dungeon where Bane is supposed to be at.

"Alright. Bane should be here somewhere." I informed Sanae.

"Is that so?" Sanae began looking around the area, searching for the giant centipede which I had tamed.

"Hmm... I don't see it anywhere." She remarked, then looked at me asking if I knew where Bane was with her eyes.

I shrugged my shoulders, for I have no idea as well.

And then boom! Bane came crashing down from the ceiling, surprising us both with its dynamic entry.

"Skreee...."

"Hey Bane, I came for you as promised." I greeted my buddy.

"Skkkkrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeee~!!" Bane screeched with joy and came crawling up to me, rubbing its head against my cheek.

"Hahaha! Good to see you again too."

"Oh ho~! So that is Bane...? He's bigger than I thought!" Sanae commented, looking in awe at the size of the bug.

Also...

"He...?"

"Well I'm just assuming. I mean, you gave him the name 'Bane' and don't expect it to be a male?"

"Huh. Fair point."

"Skreeee...?"

Right... I should introduce Bane to Sanae.

"Bane, meet Akatsuki. She's here to take you out of this dungeon. Akatsuki, meet Bane."

"Nice to meet you, Bane. I'm a Summoner, so I hope you don't mind becoming one of my summons. You can still meet Yoru, of course, since we'll be hanging out a lot from now on." Sanae happily greeted Bane with a friendly gesture while explaining the gist to it... or 'him' now I suppose.

"Skree~" Bane returned the greeting, allowing Sanae to pat its carapace as if he had given his consent.

"Oh my! He's hard."

"Indeed he is..."

"Skrreeee~"

After the introductions were done and the situation explained, I did not waste anymore time in asking Sanae to begin as I released Bane from my Monster Tamer skill, before giving Sanae the clear as she enthusiastically used her Capture skill on Bane.

"We've only known each other for sixty seconds. But don't you reject me now, alright? Capture!"

Magical blue strings spawned out of Sanae's hand, weaving and knitting itself into a net around Bane which wrapped and shrunk him into one of those blue orbs that holds a summon.

The orb turned red next. Then back to blue. Then back to red again. Then back to blue once again. And after it turned red and back to blue again, it made a click while turning green, indicating the success of the Capture skill, before turning back to blue once more and staying that way forever.

The same thing happened when Sanae used the Capture skill on the Steelys we'd encountered.

But with that being said, Bane was successfully caught!

"We did it!!!" I cheerfully raised my hand up.

"Yippee~!" Sanae did the same as we happily gave each other a high five.

"Not only did I get those Steelys, but I got a real powerhouse as my summon now. Thanks, Yoruto."

"You're welcome, Sanae."

"And without further ado..." Sanae then walked to Bane's orb, picked it up and tossed it onto the ground again. "Come on out, Bane!"

"Skrreeee~!!" Bane was immediately summoned after its capture, crying happily out loud as he went straight to cuddle with me instead of his summoner.

"Hahaha! With this, you can get out without problems now, huh buddy." I happily patted his head.

"Huh. To think that he would go straight to you even though he's my summon now... I feel kind of cucked."

"You said something, Akatsuki?"

"Nope. Not at all. Let's go!"

We soon continued making our way deeper into the dungeon. Sanae have collected all of the stone tablets needed for the dungeon quest as we are now standing at the door to the boss room where Gaius is.

But before that, I wanted to ask her, "So what did you think about the quest?"

"It's... ok, I guess. I'm not really playing this game for the lore, you see."

"Fair enough. So then, are you ready?" I placed my hand on the door.

"Yup. Let's do this... together." Sanae does too.

Bane followed our actions as well and placed its head on the door as we pushed it open together with relative ease, since the door wasn't that tough to begin with.

Thus, the boss fight against Gaius has begun once more.

I had two-shotted him the last time I faced him. But that's before the patch so I'm unable to use the Multi-Casting buff exploit anymore. So let's see... how well I can do against him now with Sanae and Bane backing me up.

Or at least, that's what I wanted to do but...

"Skrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

Bane let out a battle cry and rushed head first towards Gaius, much to our surprise.

""What...?""

Then as Gaius perfectly timed his attack and swung his sword at Bane, Bane easily tanked the attack like a champ and proceeded to ram Gaius straight up, throwing the boss up into the ceiling. Following that as Gaius then dropped down, Bane whipped his body against Gaius and sent the knight flying across the room, causing Gaius to crash into the wall right next to us who were simply stunned by the scene unfolding before our eyes.

Gaius stood up and even though we were right next to him, he seemed more aggroed onto Bane instead and charged towards the bug. Bane does the same, stampeding towards Gaius as the two clashed in an epic battle.

Welp... Time to whip out the potato chips. I still have some leftovers in my inventory, don't I?

"Want some?"

"Yeah sure. Thanks."

Sanae and I started eating chips now as we watched Bane trashing Gaius all over the boss room.

"Saaayyy... Should we really be doing this?" Sanae asked in an unconcerned tone, continuing to munch on her chips while watching.

"What's Bane's HP?" I asked her, being Bane's owner now instead of me.

She took another chip from the bowl I was holding before opening her menu.

"Errr... He still has plenty of HP." She replied after checking.

"And Gaius's HP has just reached half. So yeah, Bane should be fine. I mean thinking about it, the difference between their levels is about 20 or so. Therefore, nothing to worry about." I made my remark and continued munching on my dungeon-made potato chips, created in this very dungeon itself.

"Aww... That's a shame though." Sanae sighed.

"I was hoping to fight a boss with you. Instead, we're just watching a monster pummel another monster."

"Akatsuki..." I stared at the disappointed expression she was showing, feeling a sense of need to say to her, "...You're technically soloing Gaius right now. Bane is your summoned monster, remember?"

"Well... I mean that's true but..."

"Besides, from what I have seen you done so far, you don't fight at all. You just sent your summons after your enemies."

"That is true again. But sitting here and eating chips just doesn't make me feel like I'm involved in the fight at all. Rather, you could say that Bane is the one soloing the fight. We're just standing here, doing nothing." Sanae stated, taking the last potato chip from the bowl which I was about to take.

"Hey Yoru, do you have any beverages in your inventory? I feel kind of thirsty now after eating that many chips."

"Sure. Give me a moment." I then used my skill, "Produce Milk." Resulting in three jugs of milk to spawn in my inventory as I took two out and handed one to Sanae.

"Here." I passed it to her, where she proceeded to stare at the milk with a suspicious gaze.

"Is this breast milk?" She asked.

"No. Why did you ask that?"

"Well it's because you just said 'Produce Milk' which I could only assume to be a skill of yours, which you then proceeded to take out two jugs of milk and handed one to me."

"Well, it's not breast milk. At least I think it's not... I got the skill by eating several cow monster corpses. Anyways, just drink it. You said you were thirsty, didn't you?"

"Oh very thirsty now that you've answered my question."

Sanae proceeded to chug the whole jug down in one go like it's beer.

"Aah~ Your milk was really delicious, Yoru. Although, I would prefer to have it in a cup next time. A jug of it is a bit too much for me."

"I see. I'll remember to get some cups next time."

The battle between Bane and Gaius was still ongoing. However, it seems like it will soon end. Gaius had even activated his second phase while we were chatting about the origins of the milk.

"Looks like it will be over soon." Sanae expressed the same observation as I did.

"Yeah. Bane is just too much for Gaius in this fight."

"Also, is the boss monster now black all of a sudden?"

"That's his phase two form. Happens when his HP has reached a certain amount."

"I see. You're also out of chips, correct?"

"Yeah. I'll need potatoes to make more. Sadly, there are none in my inventory now."

"Well in that case..."

"In that case wha—"

Before I could ask what Sanae was planning, she lunged at me, causing me to trip as the both of us fell on the ground with Sanae on top of me.

"Akatsuki... No, Sanae...? What are you trying to do?"

"Fufufu~ Something that I've been wanting to do the moment I saw your character." She replied and proceeded to touch my chest... again.

"Kya!"

Huh!? What the fuck did I just—

"Oh my~ What a cute scream you've let out, Yoruto. Let me hear more."

"Hold on! Didn't you already touch my boobs earlier!?"

"Yes. But a taste wasn't enough." She then leaned in closer. "I want the whole meal~"

Oh crap.

"Wait wait wait wait wait! Restrain yourself, Sanae!"

"But I refuse. Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything lewd."

"You touching my boobs should already be considered lewd!"

All of a sudden, while Bane is dominating Gaius in their fight, Sanae is dominating me in our "fight". By the time she was done, Gaius was defeated and so was I...

"I can never be a bride now..."

"Excuse me... What?"
