Chapter 5 - Another World of Bar Owners II
Bai Xi suddenly opened the office door, surprised to see the two people inside and asked, “What are you two doing?”
“Mr. Bai!” Song Xiaoxiao’s face turned red as she hurriedly explained, “I’m here to close the window for you.”
Bai Xi glanced at the curtain being blown by the wind. “The curtains are swaying.”
Song Xiaoxiao hurriedly helped him close the window and almost fled from the office.
The culprit, Mr. Han, smiled lightly. “Are you heading to the head office?”
“I really didn’t see it,” Bai Xi said, with disgust on his face. “Why do you have no moral integrity at all?”
“I’m truly innocent,” Han Zhuo said as he helped him to the sofa. “How was the meeting?”
“Not bad. There should be no problem in the afternoon,” Bai Xi said as he threw himself onto the sofa, enjoying the relaxing feeling surrounded by the soft cushions. “For lunch, let’s order takeout.”
Han Zhuo nodded. “Do you need a massage?”
“You really are all-powerful,” Bai Xi muttered, relaxing and stretching. “By the way, I’m warning you, don’t harass my employee again next time. If you want to flirt with female employees, please go next door.”
“I’m really not interested in Miss Song,” Han Zhuo said as he squeezed Bai Xi’s shoulders.
“You even remembered her last name so quickly, and you still say you’re not interested,” Bai Xi gasped. “Hey! Be gentler!”
Han Zhuo raised his lips, pressed his palm on the back of Bai Xi’s shoulder, and held it with his fingers. There was a little star painted on his shirt.
.
At two o’clock in the afternoon, Han Zhuo sent Bai Xi to Huanchen Group on time. “Let’s go.”
Bai Xi pointed at his nose. “Once again, you are not allowed to harass the opposite sex.”
Han Zhuo raised his hands in surrender. “I won’t go upstairs, just stay here and take a walk.”
“Aren’t you going up?” Bai Xi unbuckled his seat belt. “But it’s fine, I can make my own arrangements later on. I don’t need a car, and I may have to eat with clients in the evening.”
Han Zhuo nodded and took him into the elevator. However, he did not drive the BMW again. Instead, he hailed a taxi on the side of the road and headed west in the city. There was a nationally famous bar street there, which became more and more lively as the night went on but was very quiet during the day.
So, when Han Zhuo opened the door, the bartender, who was lying drowsily behind the counter, almost had a heart attack from the sound of the wooden wind chimes.
“A glass of mint julep,” Han Zhuo said as he sat on the wooden chair.
The bartender shook his head and took a rag to wipe the table. “We open at eight o’clock in the evening.”
Han Zhuo threw two gems on the table. “Consider it a tip.”
The bartender’s pupils suddenly flashed brightly, and he leaned over the counter, his face almost sticking to Han Zhuo’s. “Who are you?”
“I’m looking for your boss,” Han Zhuo said as he shook out a cigarette, lowered his head, and lit it. “Is she awake?”
The bartender looked excited and accidentally made a dent in the bar with his pointed nails. “Wait a moment,” he said.
.
The bar owner, a charming and beautiful young woman, was studying fashion magazines for the new season when Han Zhuo came in. The floor was littered with high heels and handbags.
“It seems you’re in a good mood today,” Han Zhuo said, taking a seat opposite her.
The young woman giggled and extended her finger adorned with diamond rings. “A Hermès Kelly, a question.”
“Happy birthday,” Han Zhuo tapped her fingertip, and little falling stars covered around the diamonds. “Miss Daisy.”
“I hate it,” Daisy said, picking up her high heels with her toes and lounging behind a dozen of the latest handbags. “What do you want to ask me?”
“I have a problem,” Han Zhuo said, maintaining a good attitude. “And I need your help.”
Daisy shook her head. “No interest, no need to talk.”
“But I’ve encountered a problem,” Han Zhuo insisted. “And only you can help me solve it.”
Daisy, pulling off her bra, looked at her chest with satisfaction and said nonchalantly, “What’s the trouble?”
“Someone wants to kidnap my client,” Han Zhuo said, pulling on a shawl and wrapping it tightly around her upper body. “And he is very important to me.”
“What does this have to do with me?” Daisy took off her diamond ring, threw it on the carpet, and started preparing for her evening date.
“Of course, this has something to do with you. My troubles are your troubles,” Han Zhuo said, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back. “Can’t you have a sense of responsibility as an elder?”
Daisy covered her face and screamed with her ears closed.
Han Zhuo took out a skirt from the cabinet. “I’ll wait for you outside the door in five minutes.”
Daisy waved her hand impatiently. After Han Zhuo left, she immediately put on makeup and shoes, and climbed out of the window on both hands and feet.
Mr. Han folded his arms and leaned on a tree not far away to watch her.
Daisy: “…”
Note: yes, Mr. Han has a power, it’s the starlight. But it will be shown much more later on.
